Introducing Romi – our International Moving Consultant

BTR International is pleased to introduce Romi Alter in her role as International Moving Consultant.

Romi started working with BTR in May 2023, bringing many years of experience within the international relocation sector.

Based in Argentina, Romi is BTR’s main contact for relocation to and from South America. Her role involves liaising with everyone involved with the relocation, from the relocating employee and client contact to shippers, couriers and agents. This keeps her very busy!

Romi says: “People greatly appreciate having one main contact throughout the relocation. I aim to take the stress out of the move, coordinating everyone involved. It’s great to offer helpful advice too. This could be packing tips, cultural insights or even a good local restaurant for a ‘settling in’ celebration!”

Romi especially enjoys the learning opportunity her role offers: “Working abroad brings me many challenges, but at the same time, it is a chance to get to know different cultures, ways of life and different people.”

For Romi, her BTR work offers the perfect combination of helping people, firstly to relocate and then settle into their new destination. She explains: “People trust us with their relocation. This usually involves the most important aspect of their lives – their family – as well as their possessions. The level of care and attention that goes into every relocation reflects this enormous trust and helps people to feel ‘at home’ quickly. I love to provide the empathy, advice and assistance that this involves.”

Romi adds: “From the very beginning, I’ve felt part of the BTR team. Everyone is knowledgeable, helpful and very professional … and we definitely have great teamwork. This adds to the quality of service that we provide.”
