Last week, BTR were once again at Luton Hoo supporting Luton Town’s Legends Golf Day in memory of ex-footballer, Andy King. It’s 10 years since Andy passed with Prostate Cancer and the 10th anniversary of the charity event.
On a beautiful sunny day, Jack Brewin, Steve Hicking and Barrie Gilmour were joined by Luton Town legend, and ex captain, Steve Foster. As with the weather, the golf also had some pleasant spells and the team shared the prizes finishing 5th overall.
Lee Brewin, BTR CEO, commented, “this is an important charity and day for all at BTR. As one of the main title sponsors, it’s great we can play a small part in supporting the day, bringing more visibility to prostate cancer and the memory of Andy King”.
The day was once again hosted by Mick Harford who, himself, has suffered from the disease. Mick said “1 in 7 men will suffer from this disease and we need to raise awareness where we can. I’d like to thank BTR for their continued support and sponsorship of the event. They make it possible for us to hold such an amazing day in a terrific venue like Luton Hoo”.
With the changes to the current golf course at Luton Hoo, BTR look forward to playing a part in the 2026 event at a new, yet to be confirmed, venue.
